Taking Control Starts with a Microdecision

Taking control starts with a microdecision.

H

There’s a widespread belief that making decisions creates stress. Yet, the opposite is often true: indecision, constant doubt, or procrastination are frequently the real sources of the discomfort we experience.

In health—and especially when it comes to self-care or living with a chronic condition—inaction weighs more than action.

The Power of Microdecisions

At HEWEGO, we believe it’s not about making one big decision once, but about taking small decisions that keep you on track.

Deciding what to have for breakfast.
Deciding whether to go for a 15-minute walk today.
Deciding whether to watch that educational video or postpone it for another day.

These microdecisions are signals. They tell yourself which direction you’re heading. And little by little, they turn into habit. Into confidence. Into health.

A Path Designed to Make Better Decisions.

That’s why our programs are not just a collection of content. They are guided journeys that allow each person to move forward by making small but meaningful decisions. At their own pace. With support. And with purpose.

Because when you decide to take the first step, even a small one, change begins.

HEWEGO · Technology that guides you. Decisions that transform.

Impact Social Cup: Health & Wellbeing Team

Health as a driver of social change.

Last week we had the privilege of taking part in the latest semifinal of the Impact Social Cup, this time with the Health & Wellbeing Team, organized by Aticco and AticcoLab in Barcelona.

And it was no ordinary finale.
It was a crowning moment.

Eight semifinalist projects. All sharing a common goal: to improve people’s health and wellbeing through bold, thoughtful, and diverse approaches.
The level was outstanding.
And the jury, more than demanding: their questions reflected that this is not about impressing… it’s about building real solutions.

Innovation in the Service of People.

At HEWEGO we believe that innovation only has meaning if it serves people, which is why participating in initiatives like this excites and challenges us.

But what we take away from this day is not just inspiration—it’s community, closeness, a willingness to share, and an atmosphere that shows that when talent meets purpose, things happen.

Now the journey continues toward the grand final at Madrid Arena, where the best projects will face off in the Super Bowl of social innovation.

And yes… we’re heading there with the trunk full of ideas and our energy through the roof.

The Patient Turns to Google or AI

The Patient Turns to Google or AI

The patient turns to Google or AI. The hospital should respond first.

When someone receives a diagnosis, they often don’t call the hospital. They don’t wait for their next appointment.

What usually happens is that they pick up their phone and type into Google or directly into ChatGPT:

“Is high cholesterol serious?”
“What can I eat if I have diabetes?”
“What are the side effects of this medication?”

And that’s where another path begins. A path that doesn’t always inform: sometimes it misinforms, confuses, or fuels fear.
Because neither Google nor AI knows this person.
They don’t know if they’ve just left a consultation or are caring for a family member.
They don’t know their medical history, their level of understanding, or their emotional state.

They just respond.

Information without context doesn’t always help

At HEWEGO, we believe the hospital (the health center, the professional) should play an active role in that conversation.
Not to compete with AI, but to guide with expertise, with reliable content, and adapted to each stage of the patient journey.

That’s why we design personalized digital therapeutic education pathways:

– Delivered through everyday channels like WhatsApp.
– Adapted to each profile, diagnosis, or stage.
– Informing without overwhelming, resolving without judging.
– Respecting the time of both the professional… and the patient.

We’re not talking about prescribing content like handing out PDFs.
We’re talking about accompanying from the voice of your center, with messages designed to activate, relieve, connect, and guide.

Because if the patient is going to look for information anyway, it makes sense for them to find it first at their hospital.

And to ensure they’re not alone when they need it most.

First Interregional Meeting on Digital Transformation in the Health Sector

First Interregional Meeting on Digital Transformation in the Health Sector

When everyone sits at the table, change begins.

Last week, we were part of something bigger than an event. We participated in the First Interregional Meeting on Digital Transformation in the Health Sector, a space where not only ideas were shared, but something common began to be built.

Representatives from health ministries across all autonomous communities, large corporations like AWS and Microsoft, pharmaceutical companies such as Roche and GSK, and ecosystem startups like HEWEGO sat together to discuss something urgent and essential: how to advance collaboratively in the digitalization of healthcare.

It was not a day of promises—it was a concrete first step toward real collaborative work.

We discussed interoperability, responsible data governance, meaningful applications of artificial intelligence, and most importantly: how to truly improve the experience of patients and professionals.

The Future of Healthcare Is Plural

At HEWEGO, we were proud to be part of this collective drive, which has one thing clear: digital transformation is not just a matter of technology, but of people, purpose, and cooperation.

We are convinced: the healthcare of the future will be more connected, more efficient… and above all, more human. And we want to continue playing an active role on that journey.

South Summit: A Little Closer to Space…

South Summit: A Little Closer to Space…

A little closer to space… and much closer to the future.

Yesterday, our CEO Gonzalo Cámara got a little closer to space… literally 😉.
He was interviewed right after Pedro Duque, Spain’s first astronaut, during the South Summit held these days in Madrid.

In an environment full of ideas that defy gravity —predictable, traditional, and limited thinking— Gonzalo shared HEWEGO’s vision as a project exploring new orbits in digital health, bringing innovation not only to hospitals or companies, but to every home, to every person.

He talked about how technology, when applied wisely, can become a positive gravitational force connecting people with their own health resources.
About how the way we understand self-care can be transformed: less guilt, more guidance; less noise, more purpose.

Because yes, sometimes talking about health with common sense, rigor, and empathy feels like a space mission. But at HEWEGO, we are making it real, step by step, pill by pill.

From Madrid to Wherever It’s Needed

Thanks to South Summit for opening up space —and what a space— to those of us who believe that innovating is also caring.
And thanks to Pedro Duque for warming up the seat… even if the view from our capsule is a little different 😉.
