Health also transforms when it intertwines with other worlds.
This week, HEWEGO is taking part in Barcelona New Economy Week – BNEW 2026, an event that brings together professionals and companies from fields such as healthcare, artificial intelligence, science, talent, energy and technology to explore how they are shaping the new economy.
And it is precisely this combination of disciplines that we find particularly interesting.
The best ideas emerge when different sectors intertwine.
The transformation of healthcare no longer depends solely on what happens within hospitals, pharmaceutical companies or HealthTech businesses. Artificial intelligence, new ways of working, data, and the way we develop talent are also changing how we understand prevention, care, and the relationship people have with their own health.
BNEW reflects this reality particularly well: different sectors sharing the same space and tackling challenges that are increasingly interconnected. This year’s programme covers topics ranging from the impact of AI on organisations to longevity, healthy ageing, preventive medicine, and new ways of using technology and data to improve health.

Connecting technology with people. That’s where change begins.
At HEWEGO, we are especially interested in being part of these spaces because they allow us to look at healthcare from outside our own sector, discover different ways of solving problems, and share our perspective on how technology can help people better understand their health and play a more active role in their own care.
Because innovation is not simply about introducing more technology. It is about making sure that technology ultimately creates meaningful change in people’s lives.
Over the next few days, we’ll continue to be in Barcelona, listening, sharing ideas and connecting with projects and professionals who, from very different fields, are working to transform the way we live, work and take care of our health.
